Issues After Battery Replacement (MacBook Pro 2017 13”)
I replaced my battery earlier today and when I finished plugged in the power cord it booted up normally. I continued to the calibration step which said to charge to 100% then let it remain at 100% for 2 hrs which I did and then the next step was to let the battery drain to 0% and remain at 0% for 5 hrs before charging all the way to 100% again.
In the process of draining the battery, the computer shut off and then I had issues starting the computer. Then, I reset the PRAM and the SMC.. the computer starts up again and I went into terminal and typed in “sudo nvram AutoBoot=%03” since I typed in “sudo nvram AutoBoot=%00” before I swapped the old battery for the ifixit battery. (I am running Big Sur 11.1 so this part may of done nothing at all.)
Since my computer was running I thought everything was fixed so decided to continue with the calibration so I removed the power cord out to drain the battery and the computer shut off again and I can’t seem to get it to start. I tried resetting PRAM and SMC but not much luck.
Anything else I can try?
