iPhone display replacement having issues snapping new display
I bought a new iphone X display from ifixit, everything is inplace except the new screen will not snap into place, followed ifixit directions of lining up and snapping the top edge in place. When i snap one side of the display in place and it clicks, the other side pops out.

Are you perhaps being too gentle with it? I know you may not feel like using force on such fragile electronic parts, but as a technician working in a repair shop I can confirm sometimes a little extra force is all you need. Of course this is not always the case and if it really isn't budging with just a little extra force, don't overdo it and crack you're new replacement part.
Maybe attach some photos of how the screen and frame look when you're trying to fix the screen into place?
