I think my MacBook Pro's battery was swelling?

I have a MacBook Pro mid 2015 Retina 15" and some months ago realized it's battery must have been swelling after reading cases on this site. I thought that my external device cable connectors were somehow blocking the screen from closing properly. What a nut? So I instinctively, instead of always keeping it running and just putting it to sleep at night, when I do the same, I started 3 months ago to power down nightly. The swelling subsided immediately and still is. Is my MacBook Pro's battery out of harms way, or should I be concerned?

I just ran a hardware Diagnostics (cmd-D) upon start-up and got the reference done: ADP000, which clears any notion of hardware issues...

@ernest27james - The onboard diagnostics doesn't check batteries. You would need to install this gem of an app! CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the apps main window and post it here for us to see Adicionar imagens a uma pergunta já existente

Frankly, its not safe running your system in this state if the case is distorted!

Sadly, you’re not out of the woods yet!

Just because the swelling caused by charging is not as bad the problem doesn’t go away.

For now don’t use your system or charge it! Leave it off!

You need to replace the battery but in this state it can be dangerous! Leaving the system in this state could finally fail fully causing both smoke and potentially start a fire! Make sure you place your system away from anything flammable and with ventilation options.

If you are planning on doing this your self do it outside and wear cotton cloths and have a fire extinguisher nearby working away from anything flammable.
