I forced the shutter switch open on the sony handycam model # DCR-DVD810 and now it is loose. It will not close and the lenz has no protection. Do I take apart camcorder and glue something together?

I would suggest that you disassemble the handycam and take a look at what might be loose or cracked. It is difficult to determine the how-to and extend of the repair unless you know exactly what broke. You can download the service manual from here let us know if this helps. good Luck
