iPhone LCD Backplate is stuck preventing access to the insides
Hello all. Today the adhesive holding the screen of my phone to the finally gave up and now my screen is pretty much loose on all sides:
I’ve had my screen replaced two times (yes I know I’m clumsy) by a third party repair shop so this screen is not an original Apple one.
All I need to do is a simple screen replacement, and a new battery whilst I’m at it as mine is on its final legs, however when I propped up the loose screen to have a look at the internals, I noticed the LCD backplate is blocking the view of the internals.
This confused me as in videos there isn’t the LCD Backplate blocking the way and lifting the screen reveals the insides like the battery.
I checked if I could just simply lift it up and move it out the way but it seems like its attatched at these points:
Here are two additional photos that may help, note how you can’t see any ‘clips’ on the side of the diplay assembly.
Anyway, I am pretty confused and don’t know what to do. If you need any additional info feel free to ask me. Worst comes to worst I hold my phone together with rubber bands and hope it lasts until March when I’ll get a new phone.
Esta é uma boa pergunta?
