Replace nand to fix error (4013) iPhone 6?

I have an iPhone 6 that is boot looping, I’ve tried many hard resets, DFU, Restore, Anti-recovery Flash, Resting iTunes, etc. I believe the only real solution is to replace the nand chip in the iphone. I’ve watched videos of people just cleaning the pads and reballing, then putting the same chip back in the phone, would that work? If I were to put a new chip in would I have to program the new one? (I obviously want none of the data from the old nand at all, so don’t care if data is lost). For anyone who answers thank you so much!

hello James,

error 4013 is the most general error we see. This means that "something is wrong", some of it is not a nand problem (but it does happen).

Reballing an old IC often helps to prevent connection failure. It does not necessarily have to do with the nand, I will say more, the NAND is glued and soldered to the board and there is rarely a problem with the connection.

I will help you confirm your diagnosis:

  • start the phone in DFU mode
  • connect iTunes or 3uT
  • after the end of the process (if you don't know where to look, write PW or email me - I will help you find it) - copy of the log and open it
  • if you used a iTunes, in the log file you can find a line with the description of the error
  • if you used a 3uT, you can find info on main panel of restoration ( % will also be important ).
  • on the end, show a log here (or email me) we will interpret it together

that is all, no magic, no birds :-)

  • regards,

PS, in our daily work, we try not to draw conclusions based on YouTube videos, but only to reliably and mathematically confirm the diagnosis based on knowledge and experience.

Hello! Thank you so much for answering. I have tried flashing 12.4.8 on the device with the easy flash on 3uT. I have also tried doing it on iTunes. I found that when flashing, the apple logo flashes on then off, and if I quickly disconnect and reconnect the phone during the flash of the apple logo it gets stuck on the logo screen. When stuck on the screen, I tried again flashing it with 3uT and I now get error (2005, and sometimes error 2009, 2003). But after that it goes back to looping the apple logo, then black screen, etc. and gets the same error 4013. (Sorry if what I just said makes no sense)

Are you saying that I should:

1. Put into DFU/Recovery Mode

2. Try flashing with firmware on the itunes tab in 3uT

3. And send you what is says or where it stopped at

Again thanks so much, it's nice to talk to someone that can help me, and really knows what they are doing!

I would think that is what he said, or at least close.

hello Risal,

in the case of iPad, the situation is a bit different, has a different, less noticeable background. Write something about the reason for this behavior: whether it occurred after a fall or flooding, whether it is your device or you are repairing it for someone, etc. Contrary to appearances, everything will be important --->>>

Your device is unable to go from DFU to service mode. It usually means insufficient power supply at key components, due to an earlier fall or removal of the motherboard from the case (iPad Pro is a very fragile design). Sometimes, however, it is a symptom of the lack of a control signal from the usb, which may be the result of a damaged lighting cable or the charging port itself. Either way, you will have to work with a soldering iron or visit a good repair shop. To make matters worse, the iPad is extremely poorly mapped electronically and the available sources are insufficient or incorrect - it is primarily. In your case, the history of the last few days of the iPad's life will be the key, based on which I would draw conclusions and plan the next technical steps.
