Fix mac keyboard with isopropyl alcohol?
I remember the iPhone 4 having a problem with the home button not working. A simple fix for this problem at the time was pouring a little bit of isopropyl alcohol on the home button and pressing it multiple times. This dislodged the speck of dust or whatever stopped it from working.
So my question is, has anyone tried this for a Macbook Pro 2016-2019 that had the problem of a speck of dust getting in and stopping keys from working? Could I use a syringe to squirt a tiny bit of isopropyl alcohol just under the nonfunctional key? Would it help?
At least it seems to me that it should be safe, as isopropyl alcohol is non-conductive and evaporates quickly.
What I don’t know, and haven’t found any mention of on internet forums, is whether or not isopropyl alcohol could dislodge the speck of dust safely.
