Why is my Deskjet 842c printer not printing

HP Deskjet 842c

The HP 842c was introduced in 2000. Like most old printers, the cartridges are large and lasted for a long time, and were overengineered. However, it uses a tri-color cartridge which makes it so one color running out ends the entire cartridge.

Why is my Deskjet 842c printer not printing

I connected my Deskjet 842cprinter to my Lenova Think Pad and bought new print cartridges. It is not printing, Where do I check for issues?

Just to check, if your computer detect the printer and install the driver correctly?

when you send a print job, does the printer mechanism start moving?
