Why doesn't my washer goes to draining and beyond
My washer starts and washes but stops when the time to drain and the motor hums.Motor becomes hot and lid switch smoked

The motor was taken off and placed on a bench , powered through the timer and it ran a completed cycle -lid switch was bypass.
