Bottom Pentalobe Screws Stuck

Hey guys, I have an iPhone Xs Max that’s having an issue with the bottom screws. They aren’t stripped but the problem is they don’t turn AT ALL. Because I had to open the phone because the old screen was completely dead I just broke the old screen off. The problem is even when I tried pushing them out from the inside it didn’t do anything. I’ve been using it for a while with the screen unscrewed but I want to have it secured in at some point. I’ve tried glue on the screwdriver, etc… they aren’t stripped so that isn’t the problem, they’re just really, really stuck. Any information, ideas or solutions would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are screw lubricants you can find on amazon or you local repair store, relatively cheap.

You can also use cooking oil but beware of residue!!

Works for me (too lazy to buy lubricant when problems occur lol)

Another (riskier) method i’ve seen implemented is warm up the screw with a soldering iron (or similar) so it expands a little. When it cools down it’s a little loosier. If you try this do it with caution, you can permanently damage your device.

I would just cut them out and get new screws but you might need to push the screwdriver down hard and twist a tiny bit. Lefty loosy
