Xbox not accepting input from xbox media remote
I recently disassembled my Xbox one x to re-apply thermal paste in order to reduce the sound it was making (this greatly helped) but in the process my Xbox no longer accepts input from my Xbox media remote, my controllers connect fine although. Was a certain cable not reconnected?

Have you tried resetting the remote in the console settings?

@aussiepandah how do you accomplish this? I've never heard of resetting the remote and it doesn't show up in devices since it's not connected like a typical controller

@omahajon Hmm, if it's the official remote then you might have to contact MS if you've tried fresh batteries. I personally don't own one so I'm going off this on the MS support site https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardw... Sorry I can't really be more help.
