What cpus are compatible with this system
I have a 2017 21.5 system with dual core i5 and I want to upgrade to a quad core. What cpu can I look at getting?

You are really limited to what Apple offered, as the systems firmware won’t have newer CPU code. Here’s your choices:
- 3.0 GHz Core i5 (I5-7400)
- 3.4 GHz Core i5 (I5-7500)
- 3.6 GHz Core i7 (I7-7700)
