KDL-S26A12U won’t turn on

@charliescott your TV is using the LED error codes. 1: Busy or 2: Device failure to respond to IIC. In the event of one of these situations arising the software will first try to release the bus if busy (Failure to do so will report with a continuous flashing LED) and then communicate with each device in turn to establish if a device is faulty. If a device is found to be faulty the relevant device number will be displayed through the LED (Series of flashes which must be counted).that is one of those TV’s that is supposed to have

Issue with yours is that you only have a constant light. Try this first. Disconnect very input source and other equipment like soundbar etc., from the TV. Unplug the set and hold the power button on the TV down for something like a minute. Then connect one local video source i.e. DVD/BR or game console. The plug the TV in and try to restart. See if that makes a difference.

If not then it is time to remove the back cover from your TV and take a look at the boards. Check for obviously damaged components (burned, charred, missing) as well as measure the voltages on your power board. If you post some good pictures of the boards etc., with your question we can try and assist you further. Right now my number one suspect is the power board.
