I bought LG UHD 49inch 3 years ago and now the screen diplays horizontal /vertical lines .As per LG Technician i need to replace the panel . Kindly advice do i have to replace the panel , if so where i can order the item through online. LG tech team removed the cables after opening the back cover of the TV and reconnect but still the issue remains same.

@shan321 it is easily possible that this “screen display horizontal /vertical lines” is a bad panel. LCD panels like the one you would possibly need are not easy to come by. You will need to do an online search based on the label on the back of the panel not your TV model number. The panels may have had revisions etc. which can cause issue for the replacement, thuis make sure you look for the same panel number as you currently have. You can also try and see if you can find used ones on places like ebay, craigslist, pawn shops etc.

There is always a possibility that it may only require a new main board or t-con board

@shan321 does your menu still display normal? right now it looks like the time on the top left side of your screen looks normal. Let us know if it does since then there is a possibility that it is a main board issue.

Based on the image on the screen repeating itself several times vertically, I would pop open the back of the TV and look for swollen capacitors on the main board and power supply. Noise on the power supply rails can easily cause all sorts of issues. Does the symptom change as the TV warms up? Did it get hit or dropped?

TV was not hit on anything and it was running smoothly. Suddenly a line appeared and eventually spread across the screen after 2months. LG technicians and a local technician suggested to replace the panel. I was using for last 4 years and this was the first issue noticed now.
Once I turn on the TV screen start flickering with many lines.
