Coffee spill: Fully functional but shuts down when unplugged
I spilled coffee on my macbook causing it to not boot up from sleep. I then backed it up on an external hard drive while on external power. Now it functions normally except it dies as soon as it is unplugged from external power. The apple store said there was residual coffee stains inside and some liquid sensors were tripped but would not confirm a logic board or battery issue. They said it could be shipped off for $800 which wasn’t really worth it on a 5 year old laptop. I’m not sure if it is worth trying to replace just the battery or logic board or just update MacBooks. Attached is a coconut battery screenshot
. Any advice would be appreciated!
