Sony kdl-46w905a tv won’t turn on just hear clicking sound like relay

Hi I got Sony kdl-46w905a and it won’t turn on and no red blinking code and all I hear when I plug it in is a clicking noise and a pause for a second then another clicking noise as if the power supply has a relay and is relay is turning off the power supply bcuz of a problem, bcuz of this I have no way to check voltages anywhere as there’s no standby light but I think I get a white light for a second then goes off, I’ve checked for bad capacitors or shorted mosfets but haven’t found a problem, and I was thinking if there’s a way To bypass the protection so it stays on so I can check voltages ? Or maybe someone can help me on what to try ?

I’ve included picture of board and I just checked for shorted mosfets, and from watching other videos, other Sony TVs but different models have had power supply clicking noise but it hasn’t been power supply, so I didn’t want to buy power supply until I was sure

Imran Ali  right now this sounds like a power board issue. We need to see what you see and need to know how you checked the MOSFETs. Post some good pictures of your power board with your question. Adicionar imagens a uma pergunta já existente Unless there is a schematic available it will be almost impossible to determine which component has failed. Since you do not get standby etc. it is most likely that you will need a new power board. Let’s see what your boards look like etc.

Imran Ali   here is the Sony triage chart for your model. It will be most common errors for your symptoms

After that you want to go to the troubleshooting for the "no power" situation

Block Image

To identify the component you will have to check your board model

I noticed the relay doesn’t click when I disconnect the cable from the power supply going to main board, and when it’s connected there’s no voltages at all on any pins of the power supply, but when I disconnect cable going to main board then the only voltage I get is stand by voltage 3.3v, but no other voltages are present, and as soon as I connect the cable going to main board with power connected the relay on power supply clicks and stand by voltage is gone, the capacitors on main board i checked voltage, and only getting voltage on the big 400v caps and voltage is around 310v, and it doesn’t make a difference if the cable going to main board is connected it disconnected , still only voltage on big caps the test I get no voltage ?

That voltage is most likely the voltage needed for your back lights. The main board turns your backlight on etc. It also turns the rest of your TV on. If you have proper voltages without the mainboard but nothing or only limited after you connect it, check your main board. The above image is from your power board or just a board like your power board?

That’s the same as mine but I got picture of mine which I’ll add, I’ll see if I can jump start the power supply to see if I got rest of voltages, and try try jump starting power board to see if I got backlight and I got backlight tester which I can try but I know it’s edge lit backlights and this tv has 4 edge lit backlights, which is a lot of backlights to test , but the main board I looked for anything shorted to ground but found nothing and I don’t know what else to test
