How to flash and downgrade the BIOS
I have an HP Spectre x360 13 4193nr Energy Star and I would like to flash and downgrade the BIOS

Here’s the HP article explaining what you will need to do:

Check the section “Update the BIOS manually from a USB Flash drive (outside of Windows)”. You should be able to download the version you need from HP and sync the BIOS using the outlined process.

I tried that but it only will reinstall the current BIOS since the device has the latest BIOS. I want to go back to previous BIOS version that I know allowed the Windows recovery from the USB supplied by HP.
I don't know if this will work, but I was able to downgrade the BIOS version within the BIOS settings on an HP laptop once. It was in the settings to either update or downgrade. That's the last thing I can think of.

I generally found “Recovery USB from HP” from manufacturers very unstable. Would it be difficult for you to reinstall windows? You can download windows 10 from microsoft.com

It would not be difficult, I just prefer the version of Windows that was supplies out of the factory from HP

I tried recovering the system using a Recovery USB from HP and it failed due to configuration issues with the latest BIOS. To confirm whether or not the issue is with the latest BIOS or the motherboard the previous BIOS would have to be installed. I am asking how to flash and downgrade the BIOS because I do not live in the US and to ship the device to the US plus the cost of the repair is extremely expensive.

I have this problem as well with my HP Envy x360 15m-bq121dx. I am having WHEA errors in hwinfo & it’s causing crashing while in game. I need revert to old BIOS because HP refuses to fix the BIOS on our HP laptops. I have found no solution thus far.
