Finding a short on my iPhone 5s
I got an iphone 5s that the seller said randomly shut off annd would not power on about two weeks ago. The phone does not charge. The battery reads 2.5 volts.
I am getting ready to use my multimeter to test Bat VCC, VCC MAIN and 5V0 USB in ohms/diode mode for shorts. If I find a short why cant i just hook up the DCPS to the battery terminal and use freeze spray? What is the importance of “injecting“ current directly into a cap into the line? And if there is a short on PP5V0USB can i find the short by injecting into VCC MAIN since VCC MAIN supplies those rails too?
On the ammeter the phone only pulls 0.12 amps, what does this tell me about the possible issue with the phone?
(Itunes recognizes device as in recovery mode… i tried the methods for fixing this, im pretty sure its a hardware issue)
