Will Not Boot After Potential Surge
MacBook Pro 13” Early 2015 model
This issue started while I was working on my laptop, I had it plugged into a wall outlet to charge while working (battery was around 25%) and I wound up moving and the MagSafe transformer slid out so it was about halfway unseated from outlet. As this happened I heard a flicker from the outlet, the display did a quick flash and the MBP shutdown completely.
Currently I cannot get my MBP to power on at all. No fans, no display, no change in state.
I have tried an SMC Reset;
-With MagSafe Connected
When MagSafe is plugged in the indicator light does show that that the SMC Reset was successful (Changes from Orange to Green and back to Orange after releasing Shift+Control+Option+Power for 10 seconds)
-Without MagSafe Connected
Nothing changes
-With battery disconnected and MagSafe Connected
Same events happen as when battery and MagSafe are connected
Any thoughts on other troubleshooting to narrow down the issue?
I was thinking it may be a bad DC-In board from what I've found on other iFixIt articles.
Is there a way to test the DC-In Board?
Esta é uma boa pergunta?
