I have the 2015 Sonata Limited with the 2.4 engine. I was hoping someone can help me locate the Intake Camshaft Position Actuator and the Intake Variable Timing Solenoid. They come up when looking into a fault P0010!

@ijustfixem there is a service bulletin about this exact error code.
Communication Number: TSB-15-01-022-1, Date: 2015-04-01 Category: 060000 ENGINE (PWS) Summary: HYUNDAI: DUE TO INCOMPLETE SEATING OF INTERNAL OIL SEAL PLUG AT INTAKE CAMSHAFT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0010, INTAKE CAMSHAFT POSITION ACTUATOR CIRCUIT. MODEL 2015 SONATA.
So replacing the cover and plugs per TSB should clear the codes. Here is the TSB with instructions on how to repair it==>>TSB# 15-01-022
This work should still be covered under your warranty. Check with your dealer/service department

Thank you for posting this. I have a 2016 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 . I found that the plug inside was loose and I put it in exactly to 19 mm. My only question is, and it’s probably a stupid one, but is there supposed to be oil in that compartment where the sensor is on that end cap? Because when I remove the outer plug the oil was right up to the bottom edge of the opening. I didn’t see anything in the instructions saying to remove cover and clean out access oil so I assume is supposed to be there? Let me know. Thanks again for sharing and I’m looking forward to my car running properly again.
My question is can the camshaft actuator sensor be repaired rather than total replacement?
no oil should be pressent , repair is 2 plugs and the cover w/ sensor
Same code for me but the case,and sensor have now been replaced twice once by me and once by hyundai now they are telling me it's the intake camshaft gear or sprocket that needs replacing now???? I still never found the intake cam vvt solenoid
