Mode Control Motor (Blend Door Actuator) stuck on 1 mode
2000 Honda Accord 2.3L LX Sedan with 199,500 miles
My Mode Control Motor is stuck on 1 mode, blowing on my face. When a different mode is selected, the motor makes a clicking sound. Here is a link to a video I created of what’s going on: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNg...
The following link does a great job explaining where the motor is located: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjclEh9p...
I removed and opened up the motor to clean the contacts and apply dielectric grease as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWcWUlbk...
Does anyone have any guesses what could be causing this issue? Motor needs to be replaced? A door is stuck/jammed somewhere?
I could not find ANY motor replacements from O’riellys, AutoZone, AdvancedAutoParts, RockAuto, or such. I found a motor from Honda, but it’s $205. However, Ebay has them used for $50.
Thank you in advance for any help!
UPDATE:
SOLVED: Replaced Ac Heater Control Module (Honda Part No.: 79600-S84-A01ZA)
5 years ago my Ac Heater Control Module went out. To fix this, I jumped the positive side of C1 to the input leg of the 78dl05:

A couple days ago my Ac Heater Control Module went out again (no led’s would turn on, no response at all). The dealership wanted about $300 for the part. Ebay has them used for about $90. I checked my local pull-a-part and saw that 2 2000 Honda Accord’s had been brought in in the past couple weeks. After checking about 6 cars in the yard, I found a car that clearly didn’t have the original control module installed. The plastic was a bleach white compared to my original which was a discolored yellow. And it felt more sturdy. Best of all, pull-a-part charged me $17.61 for the part!
Replacing the Ac Heater Control Module fixed my blend door issue and my Ac Heater Control Module issue for $17.61!
Esta é uma boa pergunta?
