Why I can’t find the speaker on the other device to pair it?

Im trying to pair the device via Bluetooth and i follow the steps which says hit the buttons, you hear the print “pairing” and light does turns on but nothing shows on the cellphone, I have checked to see if it’s connected somewhere else and is not, I have reset the speaker as well. It’s there any other way before I send it back to be replaced ??? Thanks in advance.
