I replaced the s7 digitzer, I started the phone to see if it worked,

the touch screen would not work. I cannot enter the unlock pattern

Disconnect the cable, check the cable and motherboard ends for damage, reconnect and try again. If it still fails, reconnect your damaged digitizer (assuming it still worked, at least partially) and see if the phone is still not responsive to touch. If it works with the old and not the new, you've got a bad replacement part.
