Sony Handycam HDR-CX7 (CMOS-sensor).

I Bought Second Hand “Sony Handycam HDR-CX7” (Digital Camcorder)..

This Model Dates Back Around 13 to15 Years Old (2006 to 2004)..

Meaning These Parts are older, Yet would be More Reliable Due To The Age of IC components Back in 2006 to 2004..

It Is now time for this little machine to die away and Is tired..

Problem Possed!

  1. Parts/Components Do Not Seem To Take Heat, I am of the opinion
  2. When in use The capasitors heat up maybe around 0.3 or 4 Degrees
  3. The Components Become Strained (Stressed).
  4. (a). On Shooting or Standby, i Whitness A Grinding Sound (Without Zooming),
  5. (b). Image Becomes Destorted.
  6. (c). I Then Change ''The Quality of The Video, Say From “HD” to “SD” format, That Is Then a Less Quality Video Clip And The Problem Is Temperarily Solved, It Will Do The Same Thing Again (Groinding Sound & Distroted Video Image) on a Lower Quality Setting.'' (Plugged In = DC)…?
  7. The Video Clips Do Not Distort and No Groinding Sound is Witnessed
  8. Onless, The Device Is Left On, The Problem Re-accures Again After X Amount of Minutes. (Unplugged = AC)…?
  9. I Maybe Wrong Here, But, It Sounds As Though The Camcorder May Be Finaly Burning Out With Age. And I May Need To Re-Hydrate The Electronic Componants (Capacitors)…? The Higher The Quality of The Video Image (Fomat), The Quicker It Starts to Overheat, Putting More Strain on its Inner Workings…?
  10. If Someone Can Help, I would Appriciate Those Who Are More or Less Knowledgable Than I To Help Repair This Electronic Instroment..
  11. And If One Needs More Information (Images) Ext, I Will Be Glad Furnish Those Who Would Learn & Repaire or Try on The “Offchance“ To Find A Solution.
  12. I Am Usualy Of The Opinion That The “Answer Is Locked Inside The Question“.
  13. I Will Apriciate Time & Efforts From Those Wiliing To Help & Guid.

Marty..
