Backlight stuck to full brightness
I just got a recent issue with my macbook. I went for a ssd swap and everything went fine, except I lost the ssd screw. Somehow in my bag my ssd popped out of its connector and I had to do a hard shutdown when I woke it then got a question mark at boot.
Opened it up, put the ssd back in place (it had badly shifted out), and everything seemed fine, untill I noticed I could not longer adjust brightness and it was stuck to full.
My question is the following : I have some basic soldering equipement and skills and would like to try and fix it myself.
First step is I am going to mesure the resistance on the backlight fuse, but if it had blown i wouldnt have any backlight, am I right ?
If the backlight IC was dead, could it be the problem ?
Or is a more likely culprit the FCP connector data pin that sends backlight intensity change commands ?
I did try both smc and nvram reset to no avail.
Thank in advance for the troubleshooting help.
