Check Tel Line on Panasonic land line phone

Panasonic KX-TGE275S……phones have message check tel line. I can call land line number on cell phone and it will ring, I can answer it. Hang up the receiver and there will be a dial tone and I can make a call out, but in a little while, it will go back to…check tel line and no dial tone…please help

Phone says “Check tel line”. I have disconnected the blue tooth, all of the connections from jack. Turned on/off the phones. All of them. No dial tone. When someone calls landline it goes to voicemail zI can not retrieve. Called the cable provider and they reset the signal. No dial tone

What is the make and model number of the landline phone?

Is the phone connected to the telephone cable coming in from the street or to a modem which also has the internet connected?

If connected directly to the telephone cable, try plugging in another known working corded phone and see if that works. If still not and it is the only device connected to the phone line in the premises then there is a problem with the line or the phone service provider's equipment. Contact them about the problem and tell them what you have tried.

If the phone is connected to a modem, does the internet work and have you checked the phone settings in the modem using the modem’s user interface from a computer?

What is the make and model number of the landline telephone? This can usually be found under the phone's base station or under the battery in the battery compartment of the handset.

How is the phone connected to the service provider, i.e. via a direct telephone cable link to the premises or connected to a modem in your premises so that it works over your internet connection?

Either way the service needs to be setup with the service provider so that they can do the work required at their end so that there will be dial tone at your end when you connect the phone's base station to either the phone wall socket or the modem.

If it is connected to a modem then you will have to enter the appropriate settings in the modem at your end. Usually the service provider's website details what settings are required. If it is connected via a modem, what is the make and model number of the modem?

Below are some troubleshooting steps from Panasonic. I hope they can help!

a. Ensure that the telephone line cord and the AC adapter are properly connected.

b. Ensure that there are no broken pins on the telephone line cord.

c. Ensure that you are using the supplied phone lead.

d. If you are using a splitter to connect the unit, remove the splitter and connect the unit to the wall socket directly. If the unit operates properly, please check the splitter.

e. Unplug the phone from the electrical socket and remove the batteries from the base unit for approx. 30 minutes.

f. Disconnect the base unit from the telephone line and connect the line to a known working telephone, for example your neighbor's phone.

U need to plug it back into ur modem. If its wireless, try resetting the phone.
