27” 5k EMC 2834 A1419 Logic Board Resistor Value

Hi,

I have a late 2015 5k retina iMac that I forgot my efi password too, long story short I ended up going the route of replacing the efi chip.

While replacing the EFI chip, I knocked loose a resistor that I attempted to seat properly, when I tried to turn the iMac on after re-assembling (while attempting to reset the SMC) the device failed to post. I tilted the screen forward and the 1st and 2nd LED were solid on the logic board, and the fan was spinning. BUT I got no startup noises or display image of any kind.

I followed the steps, doubled checked my EFI chip connections and then went to re-reseat that resistor and blew it to the dark dimension apparently.

This photo is of my board before the replacement process, and the resistor needed is circled in green.

I bought the EFI chip from someone who claimed to know what they were doing, and it is in the correct orientation, I just need to replace this resistor and see if that solves the problem, or attempt to get my money back for the faulty replacement chip.

Of if anyone has a schematic for the A1419 EMC 2834 Late 2015 5k 27” iMac please share it!!

Or, if you are able to point out the specs of this particular resistor, please do as well.

Thanks for for your time!

Charles

Update (01/03/2019)

Just an update: Reading with my multimeter of the resistor inline with the mirrored pin reads 14.6 Ohms don’t know why just thought I’d throw that out there too.
