Computer will only run on battery, not with power adapter.

Not sure what to do with this one! The computer works 100% fine on a battery, however with AC adapter it wont start up at all nor will it charge the battery. The magsafe is bright green like the computer does not need to charge or no battery installed, and when i have both a charged battery AND the magsafe on with the computer running, it says its running off the power adapter (but its not, i disconnected the battery and it shut off). Soooo any ideas? I replaced the battery connector and the magsafe board with what i thought were known working components and nothing, so I might try another magsafe board just ot be sure. Unless anyone has any other thoughts? Thanks in advance.
