Why can't I get out of the "connect to iTunes" section?

Okay, so this is a long story, but please bear with me because I’m helpless.

I have an iPhone 6s. A week or so ago, the screen was completely shattered and the screen began to press into the touch screen below it; the phone then began to type in random passwords all the time. After a night or so, the phone said “iPhone is disabled. Connect to iTunes.” I couldn’t do anything about it because of the screen. Today, I got my screen fixed and the phone still said Connect to iTunes. I plugged it into my HP laptop computer with multiple chords but it didn’t connect. I’m not sure which device is the issue. The computer will accept any other USB, and the iPhone is accepting any other computer. So the issue is, I cannot connect to iTunes to restore my phone. I cannot use the iTunes website to start up my phone because I need a confirmation code… which would be sent to my phone, so I couldn’t see it. I have not logged into any other device with my iTunes. I had it factory reset but it still says connect to iTunes. What can I do???

(sorry about how confusing it is.)

So in short, the screen got pretty damaged after a drop to the point where the screen would touch by itself in result causing incorrect passcode attempts.

If this is left for too long it’ll keep doing it until you get the ‘iPhone is disabled connect to iTunes’ screen prompt. At that point there is no way to recover data from the phone unless you have backed up data from the phone before with iTunes or have it backed up on an iCloud account.

To make it easier for you I recommend using 3UTools to do restore / updating firmware on the phone.

Use option 2 in this link with 3UTools to put a connected iPhone that is on the disabled screen into recovery mode:

Try doing an update on the phone (Select retain user data when flashing firmware). This sometimes lets you enter the passcode one more time. If it doesn’t you’ll have to restore the phone which means all information on the phone gets wiped.

Investigate a Tutorial about how to enter DFU Mode on the phone and see if iTunes will recognize it. Download the current version of iOS and install it in iTunes ,by holding Command when clicking the install button to restore firmware. Good Luck.
