My Brother Printer MFC-L2740DW will not turn on

I’m answering my own question - thought anyone having this older Brother printer would like to know how to fix it. The power cord does not pull out on this model.

This method worked for my old brother printer MFC-L2740DW . I did exactly what a previous user on this website described his steps - unplugged the printer from the wall plug - then waited one minute. Then I held the power button for 10 seconds before I plugged back the power cord into the wall plug. Then continued to hold it for a minute and it turned on right away.

I also checked my wall plug to make sure that it was working with another appliance. Just really appreciate the help on this website from other users!
