HI!
It completely depends on the model of phone. I believe that most Motorola smartphones have the power button soldered to the motherboard. You may need to locate a local shop with the ability to microsolder. We offer that service here at BrainWave Cellular and there are a number of other great shops that can help! Can you provide the model number of the device? It should start with XT.

As stated by Joshua above, the actual switch is a surface mounted switch. There are a few different ones for the Motorola line (3 I have seen so far). Yes this will require someone skilled in micro-soldering. You can check with your local UBreakIFix store about changing out the switch too.
