How can I test the power supply?
Will not start up---battery is good--power supply is in 2 sections--

If you have a voltmeter or a multimeter you can plug in the power supply into the wall and probe the other end with a voltmeter. This should at least give you an idea of the thing is alive. I have seen many cases where the AC cord is bad and the actual power brick is fine.

Does it do anything? Sounds, lights, smells?

I will Check the cord next--unit does not make sounds no smells--like a rock---I have it pulled apart---
