Good day,
I have a Mac Book pro that i upgraded and after the upgrade, when the laptop is turned on it chimes but then stays on a white screen. Also sometimes it does not even turn on. Even though the magsafe is green and is connected and the white light to the bottom just flashes. Any idea of what can be this issue?

This is usually caused by the hard drive or hard drive/IR cable. Pull the drive and hook it up to a USB to SATA adapter and see if it will boot externally. If it will see if the drive is formatted GUID. If it won’t boot try booting externally with a hard drive with a compatible system installed on it.
I always replace the cable on this model as it is a know issue.

It could be a RAM compatibility issue. Try testing each RAM in each slot or use another set of RAM that are known to be working stable.
