Why is my panasonic TV flashing a red light?

My panasonic tv turned off a couple of hours ago and the light on it started flashing red (over 25 times). I turned it off, removed all cables and plugged it out. It turned back on, and about an hour later the exact same thing happened, i followed the same steps although now it happens every few minutes, i have also noticed it turns off like so when i press any buttons on the remote, The screen goes a bit dark, turns off and flashes red. The model number is TX-47AS740B i have only had the Tv for about a year or so. Is there any way you can help? Thank you.

i have a tx-55fx555b with a vestel 17mb130s main board and my one dose the same, the back lights light up whilst the standby light is flashing as if the tv is coming on but then it goes off again for a while then tries to turn on again then again then again whilst all the time the standby light continues to flash constantly?

I have checked all the wires and both boards and all is okay, I think its to do with the firmware or mboot file or spi flash chip, to be honest i am only guessing?

I tried to do a firmware update with usb but again it flashes loading but then goes to software update error and fails to update or work?

Any help would be great! I have been trying to get a copy of the firmware for this tx-55fx555b vestel 17mb130s but can't find it anywhere and i have checked for week's now.

PLEASE HELP!!!

@deltahatton

the (over 25 times) is most likely a continous one blink since there could be no pause in between. That would be indicative of an issue with the main board, as are most of the prolonged blink codes. (Panasonic only goes up to 13). Remove the back of your TV and take a good look around. Check all the wiring and connectors. Remove and reseat the cables. Check the connectors for bend pins etc. Check the board for obvious damage like leaking or domed looking caps. If unsure, post some good pictures of your boards with your question. That way we can see what you see. Use this guide Adicionar imagens a uma pergunta já existente for that.
