I seem to be having a problem concerning my laptop. Since I have important documents I have yet to save, I want to reactivate it without restarting it. Does anyone have any answers for this specific question?

Go into power options and turn off hibernation.
Also, set your screen timeouts to turn off (not hibernate) as you desire.
Set <do nothing> when lid is closed.
It will tome out and turn off as normal with lid open or closed.
I have had some computers that just do not like hibernation.

What model is your computer? are you working on microsoft office?
had you tried connecting to an external monitor?
