Washer goes straight to cycle complete

Last night my washer (Kenmore Washer Series 110) started displaying the F7 E1 error, upon which I replaced the shifter/actuator, recalibrated the washer, re-ran the diagnostic mode (test completed successfully), and then tried washing. The wash+rinse+spin went successfully and I got cycle complete.

Now when I try washing another load, the Fill and Lid Locked lights switch on, the machine hums for about a minute, and then goes straight to cycle complete. I tried this with Normal, Casual, Delicates, same result. I also tried the Rinse/Spin and Drain/Spin cycles, same result. When I run diagnostic mode, no errors show. When I do calibration, it takes 4-5 min to run and finishes normally (I think). What could be wrong?
