Keyboard won’t work after boot

Hi, I spilt water on my Mac keyboard and trackpad, I took off the cover and took out the battery, no water inside so I closed it up and set it to dry with a fan for a couple hours. I tested it and the power button worked, sign in screen came up and I could use the track pad and Keyboard t put in my password, and as soon as it booted up it said it is not connected to any keyboard

Restart the computer and hold CONTROL + COMMAND + P + R to do a PRAM reset.

The screen will go dark then come alive again. Otherwise you can buy an inexpensive MacBook Air keyboard on Amazon or Ebay.

I think I have heard this before, and the error was that it had something to do with drivers.

When turning the computer on, hold down the option key. Can you then use the keyboard??

If so, it's because when it's in the OS it uses an SPI data line, while not, it uses a USB data line mode.

This means that the SPI data line is dead, and only the USB data line is working. Even if you force it to use the USB data line by soldering two connection lines together, the OS doesn't even have the drivers. Even a simple linux recovery disk does.

If you want to, you could try to do the "repair" and then maybe find some drivers and hopefully get it to work. I don't know if it will work, but if you want to, try it.

Here's a video of how to force it into always using the USB data line:
