Is my left stick broken, or is it dust?

So, lately, I’ve been having an issue with my PS4 controller. I think it’s broken, because when I stand idle in a game, the controller moves my character up/forward without me moving the left analog stick. This happens in short stutters, and no matter how many times I click my left stick, it always happens again. I’ve had this issue before, and it got worse to the point where it was unplayable. If you can offer a fix, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have the reverse of this issue XD, my analog stick stutters when I try to move forwards with a character, sometimes with no movement at all. I took my controller apart and it worked fine then but once the controller is put back together is starts stuttering again

I have the reverse of this issue XD, my analog stick stutters when I try to move forwards with a character, sometimes with no movement at all. I took my controller apart and it worked fine then but once the controller is put back together is starts stuttering again — divydragon
