Replacement screen from iFixit risen

Hi,

I after I replaced my screen at a mechanist at mall, he screen doesn't work properly so I ordered replacement screen from iFixit. After I installed iFixit's screen, it also risen too much and I had to press hard on the screen to activate 3D Touch. I talked with a customer representative and got a replacement, but it has the same problem. I compared my phone with my friend's iPhone 7 plus and significantly feel the screen is risen too much on the right sight. I removed all the waterproof adhesive tape around edges but it doesn't help.

Is your battery swollen by chance?

Could be your housing. If you look at it from the side does it seem bent? also, it could be a swollen battery that is pushing your screen out like previously mentioned. If your battery is squishy or has wrinkles that might be the cause.

Also a lot of screens out there are Aftermarket. They are copy screens, so they might be a little thicker than the original. Do the screens from ifixit have apple logo under the cable? It it doesnt, its not original so the colors can look different and the screen might be thicker.

If youre picky about the screen fitting perfectly, i suggest you go to a shop that gurantees their screens are "oem" (with apple logo) or go to apple directly.

Oem screens for the 7 plus are around $70-$100 in the market right now for JUST the screen. If you payed less than 70 its an aftermarket for sure.

You know, i just checked ifixit screen to see if its oem or AM. Seems like the 3d preview is of a picture of an aftermarket screen, and the pictures are of an OEM screen. So im not even sure which one it could be.

The right hand side of the screen is where the cables plug in. It's also where the Shield doesn't like to sit flat on the screen. It's not due to the battery as the screen would be lifting on the left hand side. But the LCD shield is very common to not go on flat when replacing it on a 7/7P/8/8P.

Pull the screen off then take the shield off. And really take your time getting the cable under the shield to sit flat so it doesn't push the shield up. This is also a common cause of a yellow spot where the shield and cables meet.

The trick is to align it to the spacing given on the phone, just to clarify for OP the screen should only be pushing up from bottom right in this case.

Thanks for your answer. I just replaced a new replacement screen from ifixit and I found the left side is still risen, now I simply connected the screeen without install the cable bucket. I feel I can press the screen down but it will risen again after I lose my hand. As for a new replacement screen, I think it’s sheld should be installed correctly. Is there any other reason can bring the screen risen? Thanks
