How compatible are the different types of iPhone SE with each other? Can I use a logic board from, for example, a T-Mobile one(because I see a good one on Craigslist right now) with my a1662 Verizon one? It's my understanding that T-Mobile and Verizon use different antenna bands, would that cause any problems? Thanks.

Verizon probably won’t accept phones sold as GSM even if it supports CDMA in theory.
US CDMA phones work differently from Asian ones. I don’t have the exact implementation details but it seems to involve writing MEID/ESN or security keys directly into the phone and register then with Verizon network at factory, due to technical or policy reasons they probably won’t do that for phones already sold.
Although most networks have already moved to LTE, which uses SIM card, not data written into the phone for authentication and are planning to decommission CDMA altogether, I’m not sure whether this factory pairing data is still required.
Sprint might be worse, check with your carrier's support regarding details.

Ah, thank you. It's seeming like I should try to find a more compatible one. Is it Sprint that works better with Verizon?
I did find this though from a Verizon forum (https://community.verizonwireless.com/th...), where a Verizon rep listed the a1662 SE as one of the few T-Mobile phones that are compatible with Verizon. Is what they said correct?
@ezra I heard Sprint is even worse when it comes to unlocking and migrating.
Thanks @avanteguarde and @tomchai. I feel like I keep switching back on my decision, but it seems like a T-Mobile phone or logic board will almost certain work on Verizon (even if I have to contact Verizon and have them register it)? Thank you!

All Carriers in the US use A1662.
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 29)
CDMA EV‑DO Rev. A (800, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+/DC‑HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz)
GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
The problem isn't that. If its locked to T-Mobile, you are going to have to unlock it first. Unlocking it requires paying someone online via web or Ebay. It may not be unlockable if the original phone is reported stolen, is still not fully paid for, or blacklisted. If the phone works after swapping the board, you're going to have to go to Verizon and register the IMEI/ESN after unlocking the phone.

I believe that (for an example, I'm talking way too specifically about a specific phone that I know little about and am not guaranteed to buy) this one is unlockable and fully paid off, so I'm going to say that that seems doable. Thank you! Also, if I were to take a logic board from another phone, I would need to also take it's home button, so that Touch ID would work, is that correct (this isn't specifically for you)?
Yes, the home button is pair with the logic board's CPU.

What is wrong with your original logic board?

It's seeming to be something with the graphics, my display and backlight don't work, but when I try it on a different phone, they're fine, and that phone's display assembly won't work when installed on mine.

If you're trying the screen on another SE and it works but not on yours, then it's likely a board problem. You don't have to swap out the board you can always get it repaired. If interested, go to Device Pro Solutions website and we will likely be able to help fix it!

Thank you, but I don't think I want to do such a complicated repair, or ship my phone far out (and I don't see any pricing). I'm just looking for an answer to my question. I'm thinking of buying a used iPhone SE anyway because that other SE I mentioned has some water damage on the display, and could do with a replacement, and it would be nice to have one of those phones around for spare parts (I have three SE's in my family (they're great little phones, I wish Apple would hurry up and make a new one (even though I'm perfectly content with my current (currently nonfunctional) one))).
