Brand new fire stick won't connect?

Hi there!

I have a brand new amazon fire stick gen 2, and it can't seem to connect to my TV. I've used another firestick on this TV in the same HDMI port.

Now, when the new fire stick is plugged in, the HDMI port doesn't pop up at all when switching through inputs.

I tested both HDMI ports and they are both working. It's plugged in, and I even tested a couple of different outlets to make sure.

Anyone know what the problem could be?
