Home button moves a little in the frame of the new screen

I replaced the screen in my iPhone 6s recently and I noticed that the home button moves a tiny bit and I want to know if I should something about it or is it fine to leave alone. Also if I need to fix something what should I do to make it fit better?

It’s been working perfectly for the last couple weeks but I want to make sure I don’t cause any permenant damage.

A quick fix is to bend the metal plate behind the home button closer to the home button.

If I don’t do this, am I at risk of any permanent damage to the button?

Well the more loose a button is, the higher chance the cable can get ripped if the home button was to be rotated from pushing it down and rotating it.

Ok thanks, do you think applying new adhesive the gasket might help? I’ll try bending the plate as soon as I can

The gasket only keeps dust from getting in there. Just bending the bracket should be fine

Applying the home button rubber gasket adhesive will help, stops the home button from rotating and gives it a more satisfying click in result.

Bending the bracket is good by itself as well, just doesn't make it perfect without the gasket.
