A1342 Suddenly shuts down during boot

Recently I bought myself a 2009 Macbook A1342. It was sold as "deffective" and I want to repair it.

The thing is when it boots, the fan is spinning at full throttle and after some seconds it shuts down. Because of the year of manufacturing, I believe the battery is dry so my plan is to use it attached to the power source (16.5V and 3.65A), but the problem even happens when the battery is disconnected.

I installed a known-good RAM memory and also changed the HDD with no success. Also installed a caddy instead of the DVD drive, just in case the HDD SATA was defective and same thing happens. I even got another mainboard and the same symptoms persist.

The only thing I haven't changed is the magsafe conector because I have noticed the magsafe charge indicator doesn't turn up when is connected.

Does the fact of using a non original power source adapter have anything to do?

Update (02/20/2018)

Update:

I have bought a new magsafe adapter and I am having same problem. But the most weird thing is that when the main board an the magsafe are not attached to the laptop and I connet the plug the green/orange light turns on, but this doesn't happen when the board is in the laptop.

Maybe my trouble is because somehow, when the magsafe is in the laptop the power adapter doesn't make good contact in any of its pins, so the light doesn't come up and then there is not enough power to completely boot up the system.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Here's some useful info:

You really need to make sure you have a good MagSafe adapter and as you can see there're clones which could damage your system and could cause a fire.

OK thats a useful clue! I would replace the MagSafe board. Here's the IFIXIT guide: MacBook Unibody Model A1342 MagSafe Board Replacement and here's the part you'll need: MacBook Unibody (A1342) MagSafe DC-In Board

Yes, that's right. Already did, but for any reason I don't get the green light to turn up when I plug the power adapter. I suspect the reason it's that the magsafe board is not in the exact place (even with the two screws in their holes) so the power adapter's connector can't get a good contact.

The plastic insulator plate in this series sometimes warped so the contacts don't mate up this is more so when its in the case as the lip of the case holds the connection just a bit short. Replacing the MagSafe connector should resolve your problem.

I had an A1342 macbook that would shut down before fully loading. It would stay on when I booted to the recovery screen, but shut down while loading if I made a selection there. I swapped everything into another unibody case and the mac works. I don't know if it was something with the keyboard or what the 2 flat silver parts with wires are under the keyboard(maybe some kind of sensor?). As far as your magsafe not lighting, it could be a problem with your plastic housing. I had one that would light, but was very touchy unless I used a "T" tip magsafe adapter. Also, while working on my A1342 I had a problem where my magsafe would light when first connected, then go out. I damaged / pinched a wire during installation, got trapped under a screw. Hope this helps you.

Finally i bought a new keyboard and seems that the problem is solved. My guess is that somehow one of the thermal sensors was failing so passes the system the high temperature signal. Then the board makes the fan spin full throttle and because the sensor keeps sending the high temperature signal, system shuts down to prevent damage.

Next step will be install a SDD unit in the Macbook.

Thanks to all for your suggestions

PS: by the way, now even the power unit light is on when connected.
