left side of screen is black but brightens up after a bit and also looks like tracers from the objects showing in tv

Chad Ross post some images of what your screen displays. Use this guide Adicionar imagens a uma pergunta já existente for that. It will allow us to see what you see. If your screen clears up and shows properly after a while then it is most likely a capacitor issue most likely on the power board but possibly on the t-con board as well. Verify that your TV is a Samsung LA40R81BD
