Apple logo stuck days after screen replacement no bootloop no home vib

I recently replaced a IPhone 7 plus screen with a non-oem screen. Everything went well and the phone was returned. The same day I get to hear the touch isn't working as it should, no big deal, I'll just replace it again. I recieve the phone a few days later, on and working, test a few things, nothing seems wrong and I turn it off. Then I remembered I forgot to test some other things and I powered it back on again. Now it's stuck on the apple logo. I let it sit for 10min and nothing happens. It does not appear to reboot as the apple logo is constantly on and does not flash at any point. The home button does not vibrate when pressed. I tried a hard reset using vol down and power buttons and it did restart but stuck on the same thing again. I can enter DFU mode with vol down and power and it is found in Itunes. I can choose update or reset but the guy I fixed it for has data which is very important which is not backed up so I can't try to reset it.

I tried doing an update and it seems to work but it takes almost 30 minutes and when it's "verifying with apple" the screen turns blank and it's no longer recognized by Itunes. If I plug it out and plug it in again I hear it connect and itunes pop up an error saying "unknown error 0xE8000065" which I can't find any related solution for.

I opened it up again and replaced the screen with a working OEM, replaced the charge port and I'm about to replace the front camera flex but nothing so far has changed its state. All parts are connected and mounted properly before starting it up again. I'm going to try updating on other computers and see if itunes or the cables I'm using are acting up.

I don't believe anything is damaged nor can I see any damage on any flexes or cables like the home button (which I know cannot be replaced so far).

Any suggestions or tips to try? I'm feeling quite stumped how a phone which only had some occasional touch issues suddenly seems completely corrupt after a simple Off and On without even opening it again first.

Now I've tried with a new front camera flex but it's the same. The battery I had seemed faulty as the phone died as soon as the charge cable was unplugged. I let it sit charging a while but it didn't get better.

Have you tested to start it with the screen connected but not set down in the housing?

I have noticed that if the metal part on the flex cables from the screen lays to high it hits the plate over the flex cables contacts (motherboard) a little bit and that causes it to go to apple logo.

if it works not when the screen isen't set down in the housing, move that flex a bit lower or set a little bit electric tape on the lower part of the plate for the screens connectors on the motherboard.

Tested it right now and there doesn't seem to be any difference. Thanks anyway.

Tested a hard reset when it was of?

Power button & volume down button the same time

I realize I wrote "soft reset" in my first paragraph but I meant "hard reset" using vol down and power buttons, so yea I've tried it several times. I believe disconnecting the battery does the same thing.

Today I did have an iPhone 7 that diden't start (went to Apple logo and got stuck) because they had damaged the flex cable of the home button when removing the screen (pressure from under with a tool) If I removed that one it started fine.

That's the worst case scenario because you can't (to my knowledge) replace the home button on a Iphone 7. At least not with a functional one.

Have you tried with the camera flex unplugged?

Yes but Iphone 7 phones sometimes don't start unless both cameraflex and homebutton are plugged in.

True, I just had an iPhone 7 plus once that would only boot with the camera flex unplugged.

Gave it a go but no deal. Latest rumor is that if some part is faulty, like the back camera or charge connector, it will recognize it and refuse to boot until fixed. No idea if it's true yet as I need to get some replacement parts to try.

por

Gotcha, let me know what you find out.

Well. We got the new parts so we have switched out screen, front cam, back cam, battery and charge port so far. Still no results. I imagine it needs to be restored. The guy wants to take it to apple as restoring is out of the question but I have no idea what apple could possibly do without restoring.

Hi,

I don't have a solution but just want to say we are experiencing the same issues. We already tried to restore it and same results. However, the taptic engine does work when we press the home button. Also, it chimes when you plug it into iTunes and request you press the "trust" button but of course, you can't because it's on the apple logo screen. Hope there is a solution for this soon.

The oneflex cable on the top of the screen upon dissambely, make sure you have it not in the wrong direction, like upside down as I have done that and fixed the issue, by removing it and flipping it to the right side! Hope this helps
