Cracked the screen really bad. Has bout a quarter inch strip of black. The touchscreen won't respond very well. Can I remove the screen so it will work right again? What should I do to fix it?

yes you can remove the screen by applying heat around the edge and use the likes of an isesamo tool to cut around the edges, then you will need to find a replacement lcd for your model and install it, here is a guide on the replacement.
