Won’t switch on but charge light is on?

Hi there,

My daughters laptop a G575 is only used for homework reasons,was last used on Sunday and was working fine, been put in charge tonight but won’t switch on, no damage known as hasn’t moved from the desk since last used, any help would be much appreciated.

Can you power it up if you disconnect the power adapter? What happens if you remove the battery and try powering it up only off AC?
