Aftermarket 7 Plus screen not working

I have a couple repair shops, and only one of them seems to be having an issue with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus screen replacements. One store is reporting that on any version of iOS 11 after replacing the screen they can’t get the phone to go past the Apple logo on boot. 8 have tried this several times myself but I️ can’t seem to replicate the problem. The store says that it happens on any screen except full original ones. Has anyone else been having these issues?

its because you are using after market screens on ios11, either use original or downgrade the phone

Check out the Blog posted by Minho on this issue.

I had similar issues initially with IOS 11, but after a few more updates went away, I haven't had them happen anymore. Try putting on an original, update it to most recent and then try the screen change. If it is still happening, consider trying another supplier to see if it makes a difference.

I just added a comment to my post, but check my video: https://youtu.be/hkqgrU2_fgI

I just installed a second replacement screen from another company and have a touch issue going on. Not sure if this is the issue everyone is talking about, but this is downright weird.

I have a 7 here in front of me with same ios and it does the same thing...strange. Maybe this is a bug in ios? Glad you brought it to my attention, hopefully @refectio will watch your video and offer a suggestion as well.

I am not using an "OEM" screen either and dont have one to test with.

That is odd indeed. I would double check with original/OEM screens. It could be some incompatibility issue with certain aftermarket screens.

@mwc104 and @refectio, Not only did I have an Iphone 7 Plus that was experiencing the exact same issue, I now have a 6S Plus I got in this morning with the exact same issue with IOS 11.1.2. Thing is, It doesn't do it "All" of the time and is random. It does have a replacement screen the customer had changed several months ago and I only have "Non" OEM screens to test with

@teetopp I wish I had an original to try and see if it would correct the issue. I would have used their original shattered screen, but when I removed it, one of the lower cables literally fell off. I don't even know what to do at this point. I do this more as a side thing for family and close friends, but I hate to tell these people there's nothing else I can do, especially after telling them they may just need to try a more expensive screen to see if it works...
