Phone wont power up

After moving the Motherboard out of my iPhone X and place it back again, the phone won't power up. Did you guys experience the same? if not, what could have gone wrong with my device ?

I've put everything back in its original place, nothing was damaged for sure. I don't know why it would behave in such a way. I'm just trying to figure out if I'm the only one facing such issue at the moment.

But why did you take it apart in the first place?

My only question is why? This is a brand new phone, why would you do that so early in its life.

But my recommendation is to remove it again and double check everything looks good and all connectors are plugged in. Also, apple has a terrible habit of making each screw just slightly different so putting the wrong screw in the wrong place could cause damage, and I'm not sure how you organized them, but if it wasn't well, that could be the problem.

Also make sure that you didn't damage the ribbon cable for the power button. That could be the cause of this.

And did you use metal or plastic tools when removing the battery connector?

The Face id is booby trapped even Apple has claimed that if it is removed it will cause the phone to not turn on. Your best best it to take it to apple and see if they will help and make sure everything is back into it's original place and hope they don't realize you were in it. Then you may have a chance at getting a replacement , but I would not take the phone apart again unless you break the screen , but anything other than that go through apple under their warranty. I would never recomend taking a mother board out of one of these new phones till it is examined and the tricks to get passed the Face ID being tampered with are found by an expert. Otherwise you probably will ruin a perfectly good phone . They did this for security reasons so you can't just replaced the face id and get into someones secure stuff on their phone. Would not recommend taking apart , unless you have the money to Blow, but even then I still wouldn't. I have been doing repairs for 7 years yet and even I would not take one apart just because at this point, till we learn more about it.

That makes a lot of sense. It's like how the fingerprint sensors were tied to the motherboard and if you replaced it, it wouldn't work anymore

Exactly. From what I've read about it it seems to know if its pulled out of the phone and has a shutdown. So the phone will not work once it does that .. Haven't found a solution for it yet, but hopefully someone finds one, otherwise it will make this repair harder on us techs who fix phones for a living. Now it isn't attached to a screen, it stays in the phone when screen is removed but if you accidentally move it up or out a little too far you're screwed. So i am hoping someone finds a way around it.
