I have been trying to get my track pad to do secondary click. I have gone into the system preference and chose all three of the options you can choose and each time it does not right click, but it brings up the desktop. What is wrong? It will not right click on a mouse either. If i right click on a mouse if also brings up my desktop.

Sounds like a keyboard shortcut issue. Try checking your keyboard shortcut assignments to make sure "Show Desktop" is not assigned to the RIGHT CLICK function of mouse. Reassign key shortcut, test, and put back to F11.

Sound like the trackpad adjustment screw can be not adjusted right. Try to adjust the screw that is under the battery. I have done that a lot and it has fixed it. Or it can be the battery is old or has expanded and pressing up on the track pad. I would remove the battery and see if it works.
